A maple disc, turned, textured, colored and embellished using copper metal bearing paint and patina and a polished copper nucleus. Befittingly displayed in a matching stand. I struggled a little with the backside of the disc. I couldn't just ignore it as unlike a wall hanging it was possible to see. It needed a purposeful but simple treatment that did not compete with the front for the viewers attention. I had a rough idea loosely derived from another piece in a different medium that I continued to play with until the muse said "Stop"... 11-1/4" diameter disc
