Tree-on-tree Cherry platter

12" x 2" I've worked with lasers a few times now, but recently got access to a 60-watt machine at a college. As part of a class I took on it, I prepared a dry cherry platter by turning the outside and simply leveling the top/inside. After getting it dead-flat, I sanded to 400 and used some abrasive wax. The design is from a photo I took some years ago, editing/tweaking for a while now. I purposely set the image to just slightly larger than the platter diameter to see if it would distort, but it even managed to burn cleanly around the curve. Odie's Oil finish.
