This 6 inch tall half-twist vase was turned from Tupelo. The upper section was turned off-center to generate the twist. Some shaping and carving yielded the shape of leaves which were colored. A "woven" band was added to the bowl with colors to complement the vase. Finish is Watco oil.
Thanks Gerald! I have been eager to try the woven/beading texture and thought what better way than to add a ring with colors that complemented the rest of the turning.
