I recently bought an old Brodhead-Garrett J-line J170 and then realized it has an odd spindle size- 1-1/8 x 8tpi and I can't even find an adapter for it. Any info, ideas or does anyone have equipment to fit they'd be willing to part with.

I've seen 1 1/8X8 adapters and faceplates at our high school, which were used on lathes no longer present. Maybe an Oliver. Don't give up your search, you may just not have tried the right place.
