PM3520A VFD programming

Thanks much. Update: I got the new VFD installed and when I turned it on and hit the run button on the VFD itself, the lathe came on and spun up for the first time in over a year. Now just get it set up to run from the front and control the speed.
Did you find out how to get control to front of lathe using parameter input? I replaced vfd with same model vfd015b21a, but used vfd015b21B parameters and got errors,. Do you know where I can download vfd015b21a parameters?

Should be able to find what you need in here: Delta VFD015B21A User Manual (179 pages)
Thanks Darryl, It will run from the keypad but not the front of lathe, except I can use the rpm knob to control speed after I hit run on the inverter but have to hit stop/reset to stop lathe or turn the rpm knob all the way to the left. Not getting any voltage to on/off. Weird

There is a parameter that tells the vfd where it's instructions will come from. Changing the value changes from the vfd controls to the lathe controls. Parameter numbering will differ from one vfd brand/model to another, so I can't tell you what it is with yours, but it's in the manual.

Addendum: I'm no electronic expert, but it might be 02-00 (maybe set to 1) and/or 02-01 (maybe set to 2). It could also be 02-10, and 02-11. The lingo in the manual is a little different from the brand of vfds we have used for replacement. If you ask the tech support where you purchased the vfd, they could probably clarify.

When the VFD on my 3520a went, I bought a different model from delta. I found a couple pages on the Delta website which were super helpful with the parameters for both the original and the new model I got. Hopefully, this information will be helpful for you too. I also was able to dig up what the locking code is as well...but right now that code eludes me.

If I remember from years ago, the unlock code was the same for the Delta S1 on the PM as well. Don't know about the other VFDs

Thanks Kirk I changed a few with the tech guy from Delta, nothing worked. But I can still control the speed from the front of the lathe, just not turn it on/off. We cleared the lock before I entered the parameters.

I would double check that your switch wires are on the proper terminals and that your switch still works. It may be full of sawdust.

Showing no voltage from switch (or any) terminal to ground in inverter. But rpm control on lathe works!

Might check Doc Green's article on PM Electrical, the Control circuit (in three parts)

He includes both control and power circuit diagrams.
The control circuit in 3520 lathes is 10v DC.

The article "Control Circuit Part 2" is troubleshooting.
It's presented clearly but if you don't speak "wiring diagram" fluently maybe ask someone to take a look.
