I usually go turn something, roll the table out of the way and cover it with plastic. You can see a natural edge on the lathe in my last photo a couple post up.Yeah I get bored so I switch to a different style or go turn something.

Looks great!Just a small cherry vase. I like the flowers and at first forgot the bees enjoying the flowers.
Lovely lady!At our Club we make wig stands for ladies with cancer and a friend shared a new idea with me. This lady will have a big hat and a base that will be hollowed a little for rings. Finishing soon. The texture is from an inexpensive engraver then painted with Indian ink. I think it will be look good by Wednesday, Lord willing. Oh and my engraver died before I finished. Ugh.
Looking good! What beading tool do you use.Laying down the color. Second basket illusion attempt.
I like the design, and the the shape of the hollow form , hope to see more colors on your third one!!! Looks like a piece with no mistakes….Laying down the color. Second basket illusion attempt.
I use D-Way beading tools. 3/16” for the bigger beads and 1/8” for the smaller.Looking good! What beading tool do you use.

Agree with Kent, add some color, it’ll be awesome. To color or not to color? BTW I’m not good with color
Is a collaboration with someone who is "good with color" an option? Either they do it or they coach you through it? It's a lovely piece and color would definitely be an enhancement. To color or not to color? BTW I’m not good with color
I do have a guy that good with color. I thought about that but guess I need to learn if I’m going to do many like this.Is a collaboration with someone who is "good with color" an option? Ted, if you want to learn about color, you might want to consider this: I'm teaching this 5-day workshop at Arrowmont, Gatlinburg, TN in September. Pyro-Carved and Painted Wood. On top of other skills, you would come away with a good foundation on color after this workshop.I do have a guy that good with color.
