This is a 10 x 2 Chilean Mesquite Natural edge with pyrography on the rim. The finish is Watco danish oil that is buffed. Critiques are welcome

This bowl was turned green, to about 1/4" thick, then finish turned about a week later to just over 1/8" t. It was finished with Nitrocellulose sealer and paste wax.

This piece of cedar from North Carolina had some amazing figure and once I turned the edge to about 3/32 I decided to leave much of the mass, and create a "bowl-within-a-bowl" form.

This bowl has a natural bark edge in a square shape with a 2 3/4" w by 1" h bowl in the center of the 5 3/4" square. Total height of the piece is 1 1/2" due to the upturn of the square wing. Buffed Lacquer finish.

Madrone burl with black lacquered maple foot. The lid is slumped glass with a brass finial. Turned from a green blank, this piece took many hours of thinking and planning before it ever saw the lathe. About 18 x 8.

Red oak finished with teak oil. 8 in. tall,base 3 in. wide, rim 6 in. wide.

Well this piece started out to be a vase 6 inches taller than what is shown here ... now I guess its a bowl? I got the outside all shaped and sanded. It was going to be my biggest piece yet and I was quite pleased with myself, nice flowing lines and beautiful grain. I started hollowing out...

This bowl is 11 1/2" wide and 5" tall on the shortest side and 7 1/2" tall on the highest side. The wall thickness is 3/16" throughout.

The wood is Butternut. The size is 10" dia x 8.5" dia x 5.5" tall. It's finished with Danish oil then buffed with white diamond followed by carnauba wax.

This wood is Red Mallee. The size is 16" dia x 4.5" tall. This piece is finished with Mohawk lacquer sealer and lacquer, rubbed out with 0000 steel wool and hand waxed with Briwax to a very smooth satin finish.
