Half-Twist Embellished Bowl

This 8-inch diameter bowl was turned from a block of Ambrosia Maple. The upper half was turned using a 3-point off-axis method to generate the twist. The rim was carved to follow the existing grain patterns. Pyrography and paint were used to add embellishments on the rim an the lower half (round) of the bowl was colored translucent green with alcohol-based pens. Finish is Watco oil.
