Redwood Standing

Ever have that scrap of wood in your shop that you almost threw away but then kept because it had 'promise'? This end piece of a larger redwood slab is just such a piece. I decided to highlight the beauty of the internal redwood grain patterns and the external beauty of the surfaces. The thumbnail shows the external surfaces and the main image shows the redwood grain patterns with two turned dish areas. Diameter is 5 3/4 inches and height is 4 1/2 inches. Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
