I installed enough insulation and vapor barrier to be able to install enough OSB to be able to build the storage room.
I also bought a table saw today. The only other one I owned was my father in laws 1960’s craftsman that is around 18” square. The new saw should be here in a couple of weeks.
I also bought the router extension and dust box with it.
Is that a 'vintage' wooden stepladder?
I have had it since the early 1980’s.
What is meant by "EMT surface mounted"?

Rusty, It’s likely too late but I would insulate at the roofline and leave the trusses exposed. While the bottom chord of trusses are typically not structural to hang things off of, the illusion of higher ceilings would be welcoming to my eye. It looks like you are getting ready to sheet the ceiling.
EMT technically is not conduit. Conduit is similar to pipe except the threads are not tapered and is used in industrial locations requiring heavy duty crush resistantence.
the EMT surface mounted just means it is mounted on the inside wall surface rather then inside the walls as in houses.
My buddy came over today. We got the first eight feet of ceiling up and the storage room wall built.
Technically if it has wire in it it’s conduit. Rigid, IMC, EMT and PVC are all conduits.
Yes I did use the wrong word. In my past experience working closely with electricians conduit to them was rigid conduit and all else went by it's initials.
I made the mistake once of calling it pipe when I was a young apprentice.
My shop floor is wall to wall horse stall mats I bought from Tractor Supply. It makes the floors very comfortable to stand on, so my feet aren't killing me after several hours in my shop. And, when I drop a skew or a nearly finished bowl, there is seldom any damage.
The pads are available in 3' X 4' or 4' X 6', and I just butted them against each other. If you go all the way to the walls, they don't move much.

Technically EMT is the abbreviation for Electrical Metallic Tubing, designed to contain electrical conductors just like conduit.

I guess that’s why EMT is a conduit.
Finished the insulation and vapor barrier. Buddy will come up Wednesday to help install the rest of the OSB.
Looks like you may have too much rolling stock to fit into the old building! Maybe you need to add on to the new building say about double!
@Rusty Nesmith looking good. Now paint it white and will not only be brighter but will look larger.
That was the plan. Primer then white semi gloss.
The ceiling is done. Two coats of primer and one coat of semi gloss. Also got my table saw and lights ordered.

No I didn’t. I knew what would work from being an electrician and having experience with these type of lights.
I'm looking at replacing the 30 year old 8' fluorescent lights in my shop.

It will tell you that you can plug three together but you can only plug two together.
