Another piece in the "Directions" series. The name was taken from the concept of two layers around the curly portions of the maple.

This is a silver maple hollow form which was dyed with aniline dyes and then judiciously sanded. It measures 6 1/2 inches in diameter by 12 3/8 inches tall.

Silver Maple bowl about 10" wide and 3 1/2" high. Walls are a 1/2" thick throughout. Finished with shellac/walnut oil based friction polish to be dry food safe. Holes were filled with epoxy and coffee. Bowl was sold before I could part it off the lathe. Wish that would happen...
