Handled White OakThank you Irfan. I'm not worried about the handles cracking I cut them in the face grain side and white oak is pretty strong. and fairly flexible when thin. I suppose it's best defined as I use a woodburner with a sharp skew tip to carve with. The burning cuts into the wood and provides the details. I use a Mastercarver (micromotor) to remove wood from the surface. -
